The fact is that the salaries of injured players are not taken into account in the cap. Vegas therefore added its captain, Stone, to the list of injured players.
This allowed Vegas to recruit two strong hockey players – Hertl and Hanifin.
But the salary cap only applied to the regular season. This does not apply in the playoffs. Therefore, Vegas brought back Stone from the hospital, who scored a goal in the first playoff game against Dallas.
By the way, Hertl, who was signed for this fraud, also scored a goal and Hanifin gave an assist.
Vegas won with a score of 4:3.
