Almetyevsk Neftyanik defeated Tula AKM in overtime in the fourth game of the All-Russian Hockey League (VHL) final series and won the Petrov Cup for the 2023/24 season.
The meeting took place in Almetyevsk and ended in a victory for the hosts with a score of 3:2 (0:0, 2:0, 0:2, 1:0). For Neftyanik, Artur Brovkin scored a double and Semyon Terekhov scored another goal. For AKM, Gleb Petrov and Maxim Kazakov scored goals.
Neftyanik won the final series in the dry – 4-0. For the club, the second division trophy became the second in history; the team had already won the Major League Championship in the 2000 season.
