Record holder for the most matches for one club in KHL history, Starchenko extended his contract with Barys

The unilateral agreement with the 37-year-old hockey player is valid until April 30, 2025.

Last season, the hockey player set a Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) record for the most games for a club in history. In total he played 783 matches. The previous record belonged to former Metallurg Magnitogorsk defender Evgeniy Biryukov – 779 matches.

“Barys” with 50 points took the last, 12th place in the Eastern Conference standings and did not qualify for the playoffs.
