Moscow Hockey Club “Dynamo” announced the signing of a professional contract with the striker Ivan Ryabkin .
The deal with the 17-year-old striker is for a period of three seasons. Ryabkin graduated from Dynamo and previously played for the Blue and White youth team.
In the first season of the OLIMPBET Youth Hockey League championship, Ryabkin played 49 matches and scored 64 (25+39) points with a utility indicator of “+34”. He showed the second result for hockey players under 17 years old in the history of the league, surpassing that of forward Nikita Kucherov, who managed to score 54 (29+25) points before this age. The league record holder is Matvey Michkov with 84 (55+29) points.
— Our club always strives for high goals and achievements. However, in addition to this, the mission of Dynamo Moscow is the development of young players for the benefit of our hockey. The name of Ivan Ryabkin is on everyone’s lips. The striker showed himself well in the youth team. Ivan now faces a new challenge. We all hope he can break into the first team in the new season, but any advances made need to be confirmed. Ivan has a fruitful summer ahead of him. For my part, I will say that our task is to create all conditions so that players do not go abroad at an early age and delight our KHL fans,” said Dynamo sports director Alexei Sopin.
Dynamo ended its performance in the Gagarin Cup in the second round by losing to Traktor Chelyabinsk (0-4).
