Earlier, Alexander Chernykh, Svetlakov’s agent, told that the hockey player would decide on a new club by May 10. Club president Igor Esmantovich said at a press conference that Svetlakov, like several other players, would not play for CSKA in the new season.
Svetlakov is a student at the military club. The striker played a total of 517 matches for the main team and scored 197 (76+121) points. As part of CSKA, Svetlakov became a three-time winner of the Gagarin Cup (2019, 2022, 2023).
Last season, CSKA lost to Lokomotiv Yaroslavl in the first round of the Gagarin Cup with a score of 1-4.
