Grigorenko graduated from a military school. As part of the main team, he played 410 matches and scored 323 (150+173) points. As a member of CSKA, the striker became a three-time winner of the Gagarin Cup (2019, 2022, 2023).

In the NHL, the Russian hockey player played for the Buffalo Sabres, Colorado Avalanche and Columbus Blue Jackets.

Previously, there were rumors about a possible transfer of Grigorenko to SKA Saint Petersburg.
