In the second round of the playoffs, the New York Rangers will meet Carolina. In the first round, the Rangers beat Washington 4-0 in the series, Shesterkin played all four games and never allowed the Capitals’ Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin to score.
“Igor manages to save us and help us in really difficult times. Every team dreams of such a goalkeeper. We are lucky to have such a goalkeeper,” said Zibanejad, quoted on social network Rangers Videos.
