“I have no intention of following the tournament. Without Russia, the World Cup loses its meaning: it is a judicial championship. I am not interested in watching competitions where our hockey players are not present. The level of the tournament changes significantly without the participation of our teams,” Kozhevnikov commented in an interview with SE.
The World Championships will be held in Prague and Ostrava from May 10 to 26, 2024. The national teams of Russia and Belarus were suspended from participation in the tournament by decision of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).
