The federation clarified that the ban applies to the flags of all countries not participating in the tournament.

“During the tournament, only national flags of the countries participating in the championship will be allowed during matches,” the IIHF press service said.
The World Championships will take place in the Czech Republic from May 10 to 26. The tournament will be hosted by Prague and Ostrava. The current world champion is the Canadian team. Russian and Belarusian teams will not participate in the tournament due to suspension.
