Athletistic / Hockey The KHL commented on the situation with Latvian striker Miks Indrashis’ contract with Spartak Moscow.

“On Friday, July 29, the Continental Hockey League and the Spartak club held a meeting on the status of the contract of hockey player Miks Indrashis. During the meeting, all the details of the conclusion of a contract between the club and the hockey player have been examined, as a result, it has been decided to continue working in this direction and to appeal to the authorities governing the transfer of players between the leagues”, declared Championat.com quoting the service league press releases.

Recall that the signing of an agreement between Indrasis and Spartak became known at the end of June, but the player faced a wave of criticism in his native Latvia, after which he decided not to return to Russia. Soon there were reports that the striker signed a contract with the German club Schwenninger Wild Wings, despite the current agreement with the Moscow club.

Note that earlier the Latvian Ice Hockey Federation issued a statement that Latvian players and coaches working in Russia will not be called up to the national team of the Baltic country.
