Russian coach Andrei Nazarov reacted to the striker’s suspension Colorado Avalanche Valeria Nichushkina to play in the National Hockey League.
The Russian had already been sent to the third stage of the NHL player assistance program. Under the terms of the program, Nichushkin will be suspended from games and practices with the team without pay for at least six months, then will have the right to apply for reinstatement.
— I wish Valery Nichushkin good luck. Hopefully it was cough syrup,” Nazarov said, as quoted by Championship.
Colorado, without Nichushkin, lost to Dallas with a score of 1:5 in the fourth game of the second round series of the NHL playoffs and now loses in the best-of-four series with a score of 1-3 .
