Double Olympic champion Alexander Yakushev in an interview with , he congratulated the Golden Puck hockey movement on its 60th anniversary.

From May 16 to 19, the 2024 Superfinal of the All-Russian competition for young hockey players “Golden Puck” will take place in Novogorsk. The tournament is dedicated to the 60th anniversary of this children’s hockey movement. On Saturday, as part of the Golden Puck, a gala match took place, in which Olympic champions Alexey Zhamnov, Valery Kamensky and many other stars of Russian hockey took part, among others.

“I would like to congratulate everyone on this important date, as the Golden Puck celebrates its 60th anniversary. And this movement was born literally in the backyard, and has gone through many trials. First of all, I would like to pay tribute to Anatoly Vladimirovich Tarasov, who served as president of the Golden Puck and did a lot for the development of this tournament. I think today is a very big hockey holiday. After all, many outstanding players have come out of the Golden Puck.

It is also important that during this Super Final, children do not only learn to play hockey. Organizers and parents pay great attention to instilling patriotism. This is the most important thing! Love for the homeland begins with the family. If you love your parents, your brothers and sisters, the older generation, then the foundation is laid for the future, so that these children become true defenders of our country. You may not become a hockey player, but you will be a good person,” Yakushev told .

In total, more than 60 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, more than 3,000 teams and more than 50,000 hockey players took part in the “Golden Puck” during the season.
