Team Czech Republic defeated the team Britain during the group stage match of the 2024 Ice Hockey World Championship.
The Group A meeting took place in Prague and ended with a score of 4:1 in favor of the Czech Republic. Lukas Sedlak scored a brace for the winners, with Jakub Krejcik and Ondrej Kasze also scoring. Evan Mosey scored for the British.
The Czechs have scored 15 points and are at the top of the group standings, while the British team (0) is in eighth place.
In the parallel match of group B, the Slovak team defeated the French team – 4:2. Libor Hudacek scored two goals for the Slovaks, and Pavol Regenda and Mario Grman scored once again. The French scored goals from Sasha Trey and Florian Shakiyakvili.
The Slovak team with 11 points climbs to third place in its group, the French team (4) is sixth.
