Magnitogorsk “Metallurgist” leads the ranking of clubs in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in terms of club performance evaluation parameters at the end of the 2023/24 season, according to the league website.
“Metallurg” showed the best results in terms of “sports achievements”, “value of a sports result” and “television index”. The club also received full marks in terms of timely payment of hockey players and compliance with technical regulations.
The second place in the final assessment was won by SKA St. Petersburg, which achieved the best result in terms of “attendance and occupancy of the arenas”. The top three were closed by Kazan Ak Bars, which became the best club in the league in terms of the parameter “Income from the implementation of the licensing and ticket program, catering”.
Metallurg won the final series with a score of 4:0 and became three-time winner of the Gagarin Cup. Previously, the Magnitogorsk club won in the 2013/14 and 2015/16 seasons. In terms of the number of trophies, Metallurg is equal to Ak Bars (2009, 2010, 2018) and CSKA (2019, 2022, 2023).
