Sweden beat France in World Hockey Championship match, Great Britain eliminated from elite division

Swedish team beat the team France during the group stage match of the 2024 Ice Hockey World Championship.

The Swedish team won on Monday with a score of 3:1 (0:0, 1:1, 2:0). Lucas Raymond, Erik Karlsson and Andre Burakovsky scored goals for the winners, while Charles Bertrand scored a goal for France.

Sweden won its sixth consecutive victory and secured first place in Group B with 18 points.

In another match of the day, Norway beat the British team with a score of 5:2 (3:0, 1:1, 1:1).

The British team suffered a sixth consecutive defeat, finished last in Group A and will leave the elite division next season.
