Latvian national hockey team goalkeeper lost 7 kilos during 2024 World Cup match

Goaltender of the Latvian national ice hockey team Kristers Gudlevskis lost seven kilos during the World Cup group stage match against the Slovak team.

The Latvian team beat the Slovaks on penalties on Sunday (3:2). Gudlevskis, 31, had 43 shots on goal.

“It was the first time I saw a goalkeeper lose seven kilos in a single match. It’s really a lot,” said Harijs Vitolins, head coach of the Latvian national team, according to Sportacentrs.com.

The 2024 World Cup will take place in Prague and Ostrava.
