Kazakhstan national team beat the team Poland during the group stage match of the World Hockey Championship, which takes place in the Czech Republic.
The Kazakh team won on Monday with a score of 3:1 (1:1, 0:0, 2:0). Nikita Mikhailis, Vitaly Orekhov and Roman Starchenko scored for the winners, while Kamil Walenga scored for Poland.
The Kazakhstan team scored 6 points and retained its place in the elite division of the World Championship for the following season. The Poles (1 point) take last place in group B and are relegated from the first division.
In another match, Finland defeated the Danish team with a score of 3:1. The Finns scored 10 points and rose to fourth place in Group A, the Danes lost their chance to qualify for the playoffs.
