Athletistic/Hockey. Canadian striker Scott Wilson, who recently played for Vityaz, has joined Metallurg, according to the club’s official website.

The deal with the 32-year-old striker was agreed for one year, until the end of the 2024/25 season. Wilson will wear number 23 in the new team.

Scott Wilson was drafted in the seventh round, 209th overall, by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2011 before joining them in 2014. From 2014 to 2018, he played for Pittsburgh in the NHL, and also played for their farm club the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the AHL. Wilson won the Stanley Cup with Pittsburgh in the 2016-2017 season, where he played in 20 playoff games and scored 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists).

In 2023, Wilson joined the KHL and played for Vityaz for two seasons.

In the KHL over two seasons, Wilson played 109 games and scored 71 (42+29) points.
