“It seems to me that Ovechkin has phenomenal physical characteristics. He’s an incredible person, he’s missed very few games during his career. Sasha is still healthy, strong and his shot is probably one of the best in hockey history. Even in training, Ovechkin scores on almost every shot,” Marchenko was quoted as saying by Metaratings.ru.
Alexander Ovechkin made his NHL debut in October 2005. Since then, Washington has made the playoffs for the 15th time. In the 2023/2024 season, the 38-year-old Russian played 79 regular season matches, scored 31 goals and provided 34 assists. In total, he has 853 goals in the NHL, making him the second sniper in the history of the North American league.
