Athletistic / Hockey. The official NHL website has presented a list of the main contenders for the Conn Smythe Trophy. This award is given to the most valuable player in the Stanley Cup competition.
The list was established based on the results of a survey conducted among seven journalists from the site. It included Florida Panthers forward and captain Alexander Barkov, Edmonton Oilers defenseman Evan Bouchard and teammate Leon Draisaitl, Dallas Sars hockey players Miro Heiskanen and Wyatt Johnston (both Dallas Stars) , as well as New York Rangers forward Vincent Trocheck and the Cops’ Russian goaltender. Igor Shesterkin.
Shesterkin is the Rangers’ primary goaltender. In the current Stanley Cup, the 28-year-old Russian played 10 matches and won 8 victories.
The Rangers will face Florida in the Eastern Conference final. In the West, Dallas will fight to reach the playoff final with Edmonton.
