Russian goalie for the New York Rangers Igor Shesterkin entered the list of main contenders for the Conn Smythe Trophy according to the authors of the official NHL website.
The award is given to the most valuable player in the playoffs and the winner is determined by members of the NHL Sports Writers Association.
Additionally, NHL website reporters consider forward Vincent Trocheck (Rangers), forward Wyatt Johnston and defenseman Miro Heiskanen (both Dallas), forward Alexander Barkov (Florida), as well as forward Leon Draisaitl and defenseman Evan Bouchard (both Edmonton).
The Edmonton Oilers will face the Dallas Stars and the Florida Panthers will face the New York Rangers in the Stanley Cup semi-finals.
