CEO “Siberia” Lev Krutokhvostov said the club is considering the possibility of hosting the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) All-Star Game in Novosibirsk.
The KHL All-Star Game has never been held in Novosibirsk. Last season, St. Petersburg hosted the All-Star Weekend.
— Are there plans to hold the KHL All-Star Game in Novosibirsk in the coming years?
— I’m going to tell you a secret, this question exists, but there is no solution yet. This issue was raised very recently at the board of directors and is currently under study. If we’re talking about timing, I don’t know. This question is open and I have not heard a categorical answer from the chairman of the board and the governor of the Novosibirsk region, everything is being prepared now and anything can happen,” Krutokhvostov said during a press conference.
In the 2023/24 season, Sibir took 10th place in the Eastern Conference and failed to reach the playoffs.
