Athletistic/Hockey. Former head coach of the Russian national team Vladimir Plyushchev expressed his opinion on the recent performances of the Finnish national hockey team.

“The Finns know euphoria. They have not yet realized that they are no longer the leaders of world hockey. They are still living in the past, but hockey has already changed and they did not have time to adapt,” Pliouchchev said, as quoted by LiveResult.

The Finnish team lost to Sweden in the quarterfinals of the 2024 World Cup with a score of 1:2, which resulted in a loss of points in the standings (3955). Thanks to this, the Russian national team (4065) moved from third to second place in the IIHF ranking.
