Olympic champion and Gagarin Cup winner Sergei Andronov leaves Lokomotiv Yaroslavl

Attack Sergey Andronov left Yaroslavl “Locomotive” reports the press service of the KHL club.

For two seasons, Sergei was captain of Lokomotiv, made a significant contribution to the team’s success and his winning experience helped many young players of the team to progress. As previously learned, the 34-year-old striker will sign a two-year contract with SKA Saint Petersburg. The deal will be announced in June.

Last season, Andronov scored 20 points (8+12) in 79 games for Lokomotiv. In the final series of the Gagarin Cup, the Yaroslavl club lost to Metallurg Magnitogorsk with a score of 0-4.

Andronov is an Olympic champion, Olympic silver medalist, two-time World Championship bronze medalist and two-time Gagarin Cup winner with CSKA Moscow.
