Athletistic/Hockey. Metallurg head coach Andrei Razin believed that the best years of striker Alexander Radulov were already behind him and suggested that the 38-year-old striker move to training. Today, June 4, it became known that Radulov left Ak Bars and has not yet signed a contract with any club.

“Radulov is already 38 years old. His best years in hockey were behind him. I think we should no longer count on Alexander as team leader. However, he still has the mentality of a leader and believes he must pull the team behind him. In my opinion, it is time for Sasha to turn to coaching. He would make an excellent motivator and tactician. He has a lot to show and tell young players,” Razin said in an interview with Match TV.

During the last regular season and playoffs, Radulov played 62 matches in which he scored 17 goals and provided 27 assists. In four playoff games, he scored one goal and gave three assists. In total, he has 701 points (245+456) in 631 matches in the KHL.

  • Radulov has no plans to retire after leaving Ak Bars
