Attack “Dallas” Joe Pavelski will not play in the National Hockey League (NHL ) next season, reports the league press service.
The 39-year-old American’s contract with Dallas expires at the end of this season. On Sunday, the Stars lost to Edmonton (1-2) in Game 6 of the Western Conference final and were eliminated from the Stanley Cup (2-4 in the series).
Pavelski has played for Dallas since 2019 and also played in the NHL for San Jose. In total, he played 1332 league matches and scored 1068 (476+592) points with a utility indicator of “+201”.
As a member of the US national team, the forward became a silver medalist at the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver. During the NHL lockout in the 2012/13 season, the hockey player played for Dynamo Minsk in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
