russian striker New York Rangers Artemi Panarin will take second place in salary next season in the National Hockey League (NHL), journalist Miikka Lahtinen said on Twitter.
Panarin will earn $12.5 million in the 2022-23 season, with Dallas forward Tyler Seguin ($13 million) the highest-paid player. Florida Flames goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky, Edmonton forward Connor McDavid and teammate defenseman Darnell Nurse and San Jose defenseman Eric Karlsson will each receive $12 million.
In the 2021/22 season, Panarin played 75 regular season games in the NHL, scored 96 points (22+74), had 16 points for his performance in 20 playoff games (6+10).
