Former striker of the Russian national team Evgeny Artyukhin believes that the striker Alexander Radulov able to strengthen Yaroslavl Lokomotiv.
On Thursday, Lokomotiv announced that Radulov had signed a one-year deal with the Yaroslavl club.
— He’s an excellent reinforcement for Lokomotiv. I’m sure Alexandre will help the team, he’s an experienced player. There are also young people who can learn from him. It’s also good for Radulov to play in this team.
— Other experts believe that Radulov will add emotion to Lokomotiv, which the team lacked last season. Do you agree with them?
– Totally agree. A player like Alexander will replace Sergei Andronov at Lokomotiv and add emotion. He will strengthen the majority, he will have good partners in the team. I think the combination of Radulov and Maxim Shalunov will interact well. If they are put to play together,” RB Sport quotes Artyukhin.
Last season, 37-year-old Radulov played for Ak Bars and scored 40 (16+24) points in 58 KHL regular season games, adding 4 (1+3) points in four playoff games. The Kazan club was eliminated in the first round of the Gagarin Cup, losing to Avtomobilist (1–4).
Previously, Radulov played in Russia for CSKA and Salavat Yulaev Ufa, and also played in the NHL for Nashville, Montreal and Dallas. As a member of the Russian national team, he became a two-time world champion.
