Game 1 of the NHL playoff finals will take place in Florida. The Panthers lead 2-0 after two periods thanks to goals from Carter Verhaeghe and Evan Rodriguez.
Florida’s Russian goaltender, Sergei Bobrovsky, stopped 13 shots in each period, leaving his goal scoreless. The Russian notably prevented Ryan Nugent-Hopkins from scoring when the Canadian skated alone in the hosts’ goal on a power play four minutes before the end of the first period.
Florida had twelve shots on goal against the Canadian club in two periods.
