Former Russian national team striker Yevgeny Artiukhin believes that the transfer of the attacker Dmitri Kagarlitsky will strengthen Nizhny Novgorod “Torpedo” during the next season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).
Kagarlitsky, 34, played for Ak Bars Kazan last season; in 67 regular season and playoff games, he scored 25 points (15 goals and 10 assists). At the beginning of June, he signed a one-year contract with Torpedo.
— It’s a good transition and a good reinforcement for Torpedo. The kind of hockey promoted by Igor Larionov suits Kagarlitsky. There is a young team that lacks cup experience. Adult guys, for example Alexey Kruchinin, have left and players like Kagarlitsky are needed in their place,” RB Sport quotes Artyukhin.
