On July 25, the striker signed a trial contract with the Belarusian club. The 37-year-old hockey player scored an assist in a friendly against Severstal.
– Zherdev did not pass the screening at Dynamo Minsk and does not fly (with the tournament team) in Sochi, – said a representative of the club.
The last time Zherdev played in the KHL for Neftekhimik and Dynamo Riga was in the 2017/18 season. In total, Zherdev played 408 league matches, in which he scored 232 (79+153) points. The striker’s clubs were also Atlant, Ak Bars, Spartak, Severstal, Dynamo Moscow, Sochi and Torpedo.
Zherdev is a double world champion in the Russian team.
