Ufa “Salavat Yulaev » signed a contract with the striker Evgeny Sorokin who played last season in the VHL for Novokuznetsk Metallurg.
The agreement with the 25-year-old striker is for two seasons.
During the last VHL championship, Sorokin played 56 matches for Kuznya, scoring 30 (15+15) points – this is one of the best indicators of the team’s performance. At the end of the regular season, the Novokuznetsk club did not reach the playoffs, finishing 17th in the standings.
Sorokin spent most of his career at the VHL level, in addition to Metallurg, playing for Khimik near Moscow. In the KHL, the forward played only 4 matches without scoring points for Spartak in the 2018/19 season.
