“Organizing a cross-playoff in the KHL, given the distances, is difficult” – Krylov

Chairman of the Board of OmskAvant-garde Alexander Krylov believes it will be difficult for the KHL to realize the idea of a cross playoff.

– What do you think of the crossover playoffs?

– It seems to me that with the distances that exist in Russia, the cross playoffs are very difficult. But that’s my opinion.

– What do you think of the reduction in the number of foreign players in the KHL next season?

I am against any cut. It seems to me that the KHL is a commercial product and that the strongest should play it. In the current conditions, if we talk about politics, it is difficult to comment on it. No matter how it goes, we would be happy for any legionnaire to come here. If I had the chance, I wouldn’t cut anything at all. Any reduction is a loss of competition, and our hockey players need to grow in strong competition,” Krylov told a news conference.
