Agent: “Hockey player Chernyshov burned terribly under the Florida sun on the first day”

North American agent Dan Milstein spoke to about how the Russian forward approaches the draft Igor Chernyshov .

These days, Chernyshov is in attendance at Florida State’s newcomer training camp, hosted by Milstein. Last season, the 18-year-old forward scored 4 (3+1) points in 34 KHL regular season games for Dynamo Moscow, adding 28 (13+15) points in 22 MHL championship games.

— How does Igor Chernyshov spend his days in America?

— The first day the guys arrived, we went sailing on a yacht. Sunday we had a day off. And so Igor burned terribly under the Florida sun. And unfortunately, I didn’t get to get on the ice on the first day of rookie camp.

– Amazing!

— But a similar story happened with Andrei Vasilevsky. Ottawa was supposed to meet him for an interview. And he went to the park before the draft and he was so exhausted he couldn’t come to the Senators. As a result, the Canadian club did not retain him and, two picks later, he was drafted by Tampa, with whom he won two Stanley Cups. So whatever is done is for the best.

— Did the scouts realize that Chernyshov was already attracted to the core of Dynamo Moscow?

“Yes, and everyone understands that Igor is a very serious candidate to be selected in the first round,” Milstein told .

The NHL Draft will take place June 28-29 in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to scouts, Chernyshov could be selected in the first round.
