Chairman of the Board of OmskAvant-garde Alexander Krylov said the team’s former head coach Bob Hartley will come to the opening events of the G-Drive Arena in the city, and in the future, he may become a consultant to the coaching staff of Avangard.
Under Hartley’s management, the club won the 2021 Gagarin Cup. In May, Dmitry Ryabykin took charge of Avangard, replacing Hartley in that role. Prior to that, he was the Canadiens’ assistant on his coaching staff.
– Hartley has already been invited, he has already agreed to participate in the events. Maybe we will continue to work with him in the future. From the perspective of a hockey consultant, we are at the discussion stage. When the arena opens, it’s definitely planned,” Krylov told a news conference.
