A hockey player Mikhail Maltsev explained why he decided to sign a contract with Moscow “Spartacus” .
The Red and Whites announced on Wednesday an agreement with the 26-year-old striker for two seasons. Previously, Maltsev played for SKA St. Petersburg, as well as the New Jersey Devils and Colorado Avalanche. During the 2023/24 season, the Russian was loaned to Spartak from the Los Angeles Kings.
“I was tired of wandering around the hockey world – I wanted certainty. We have a strong team. We will work to realize the potential. The goals are the highest. The locker room is almost completely preserved and everything is fine there,” Maltsev wrote on the Telegram channel.
Maltsev scored 14 points (4 goals and 10 assists) in 27 KHL regular season and playoff games last season.
