Krylov named Avangard’s goals for the season

Chairman of the Board of OmskAvant-garde Alexander Krylov said that in the new season the team once again set itself the goal of winning the Gagarin Cup.

– The main question of the board of directors held today is the objectives for the season. They have not changed, remained the same as last year. The minimum threshold is the Eastern Conference Finals, the maximum goal is to win the Gagarin Cup. All rewards depend on it.

We also discussed the entire vertical, which did poorly last year. We have Svitov, who will be responsible for the vertical movement of hockey players. A minimum of 10 students should be involved in the team this year, a maximum of 13, as mentioned earlier,” Krylov told a press conference.

Last season, the Vanguard finished fifth in the Eastern Conference regular season. In the Gagarin Cup, Omsk reached the quarter-finals, where they lost in the series against Metallurg Magnitogorsk (3-4).

The new KHL season begins September 1.
