On Wednesday, Metallurg announced the signing of a new one-year agreement with Orekhov. Earlier in his career, the defender also represented Barys and Admiral in the KHL.
In total, Orekhov has 287 matches in the regular KHL championships and 45 (13 + 32) points in the goal + pass system. In the playoffs, the Kazakh hockey player played 52 matches, scoring seven assists.
