Three-time world hockey champion Alexei Tereshchenko spoke about the uniqueness of Edmonton Oilers forward Connor McDavid.
McDavid became the first hockey player in the 21st century to score more than 40 points in a single Stanley Cup. The Oilers captain has eight goals and 34 assists in 23 NHL playoff games. Edmonton loses the final series to the Florida Panthers with a score of 2-3.
“I always said guys like that were born once every 100 years.” He really knows how to do everything: score, pass. The only problem is that the defensive play is not the best. But unfortunately there are few such players,” Tereshchenko said, as quoted by the Championship.
Game 6 of the Stanley Cup final series will take place on June 21 in Canada.
