Stanley Cup winner with Colorado Avalanche attack André Cogliano announced his retirement.
Last season, the 37-year-old Canadian played 86 games in the NHL regular season and playoffs, scoring 24 points (6 goals and 18 assists). After his career, he will be part of the Colorado structure and will be involved in scouting and player development.
“Hockey has given me and my family so much that I am grateful for every moment.” I was lucky to play for so long on great teams and with great teammates. I will miss spending time with the guys in the locker room and fighting for each other on the ice every game, but it’s time to move on. Thanks to everyone I played with, to the wonderful fans for their support. “I am very excited to start a new chapter in the Colorado front office,” Cogliano told the NHL website.
Cogliano made his NHL debut in 2007 with Edmonton and later played for Anaheim, Dallas, San Jose and Colorado, with whom he won the Stanley Cup in 2022. In total, during his career, the forward has played 1,294 games in regular NHL championships and scored 464 points (190+274).
