Edmonton forward Hyman broke Ovechkin and Crosby’s NHL playoff scoring record in the 21st century

Before “Edmonton » Zach Hyman set the NHL record for goals in a single playoff game in the 21st century and salary cap era.

The forward scored a goal in the sixth game of the Stanley Cup final series against Florida (5:1), which became his 16th in these playoffs.

Hyman, 32, beaten Sydney Crosby (Pittsburgh, 15 goals in 24 games in 2009) and Alexandra Ovechkina (Washington, 15 goals in 24 games in 2018).

The score in the series between Edmonton and Florida up to four victories became equal – 3-3. Edmonton, losing the series 0–3, managed to come back and take the showdown to game seven, becoming the first team since 1945 to do so.
