Athletistic/Hockey. Two-time Olympic champion Alexander Kozhevnikov has expressed his opinion on traveler Fedor Konyukhov’s criticism of Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin for playing in the United States.

“I don’t understand who thought to ask the traveler Konyukhov a question about Ovechkin. Both are respected people, but from completely different fields. Why link them and cause conflicts within our society?

It would never have occurred to me to answer the question of who is the coolest traveler – Konyukhov, Thor Heyerdahl or Nicole Kovalchuk. This is not my area, this is a question for Konyukhov. I respect them all, but I don’t get involved in their affairs because I don’t understand anything about them. Here a scandal erupts out of nowhere,” Kozhevnikov said, as quoted by Russia-Hockey.ru.

This National Hockey League season, 38-year-old Alexander Ovechkin played 79 regular season games, scored 31 goals and made 34 assists.
