Athletistic / Hockey. The President of the Russian Hockey Federation (RFH), legendary Soviet goaltender Vladislav Tretyak reacted to the victory of the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup. Furthermore, he highlighted the performance of Panthers goalie Sergei Bobrovsky.
“The NHL has a very difficult schedule, a grueling schedule. However, Bobrovsky found the strength to pull himself together, help the team, give brilliant matches. Of course, the most valuable player in the playoffs is Sergei . Because without him “Florida certainly would not have won the Stanley Cup.
In North America, much is written about how Bobrovsky has already earned a place in the Hockey Hall of Fame. I completely agree with that. He is a world champion, winner of two NHL Goaltender of the Season awards and now also a Stanley Cup winner. The greatest goalkeeping career has already taken place! I wish Bobrovsky lots of strength, health and opportunities to play as long as he wants. He is one of the strongest goalkeepers of the era. When he is inducted into the Hall of Fame, I will rejoice and sincerely congratulate him,” Tretyak told RIA Novosti Sport.
Sergei Bobrovsky helped Florida win the Stanley Cup for the first time. The Russian has played for the Panthers since 2019. He received two Vezina Trophies (award for the best goaltender of the NHL season) as a member of the Columbus Blue Jackets (2013, 2017).
