Tampa coach Cooper to lead Canada’s national hockey team at 2026 Olympics

The head coach Tampa Bay John Cooper will lead Team Canada during two major international tournaments, reports the press service of the Canadian Hockey Federation.

He will lead Canada to the 2025 Four Nations Tournament and the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italy).

John Cooper has been the head coach of Tampa Bay since 2013. Under his leadership, the team has won the Stanley Cup twice.

The last time Cooper, 56, coached the Canadian national team was at the 2017 World Cup. Then the team lost to Sweden in the final match.
