Three-time world champion Alexei Tereshchenko believes Florida goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky deserves to be a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame after his career.
On Monday, Florida defeated Edmonton at home in the seventh game of the Stanley Cup Final with a score of 2:1 and won the trophy for the first time in its history. Bobrovsky, 35, stopped 23 shots and was recognized as the first star of the game.
– Let Sergei play, and he should be included in the Hockey Hall of Fame only after he finishes his career. Bobrovsky deserves it. He led the team for many seasons. Last year, thanks to him, Florida reached the final. He helped a lot in these playoffs. Sergey is awesome. His professional attitude towards hockey and life speaks for itself,” Tereshchenko said, as quoted by RB Sport.
Bobrovsky played 24 games in the last NHL playoffs, winning 16 times with a reliability coefficient of 2.32 and 90.6% saved shots. He won the Stanley Cup for the first time in his career.
