Details of the vote for the winner of the Conn Smythe Trophy, an award given to the most valuable player in the NHL playoffs, have become known.

17 representatives from various major North American media took part in the vote. Each respondent submitted three candidates for the award and ranked them: points were awarded on a 5-3-1 basis.

According to the press service of the Professional Hockey Writers Association (PHWA), 16 out of 17 journalists gave McDavid first place.
