Athletistic/Hockey. Hockey analyst and commentator Leonid Weisfeld named former forward Alexander Mogilny as the main candidate for inclusion in the NHL Hall of Fame among Russian hockey players.

— In your opinion, are there other Russian hockey players who could enter the Hall of Fame?

– It’s clear, everyone is talking about Mogilny. Everyone knows it, especially in Canada. It’s obvious,” Weisfeld shared in an interview with a “Championship” correspondent.

Alexander Mogilny is the 1988 Olympic champion, 1989 world champion and 2000 Stanley Cup winner. He is also a member of the Triple Gold Club.

Recall that in recent days it was announced that forward Pavel Datsyuk, defender Shea Weber and forward Jeremy Roenick were enshrined in the Hockey Hall of Fame.

  • Weisfeld advocated complete abolition of the limit on foreign players in the KHL
