Athletistic / Hockey. Russian forward of the Vancouver Canucks Ilya Mikheyev was traded to the Chicago Blackhawks. The departure of the 29-year-old Russian to the Black Hawks was reported by the press service of the Canadian team.
Vancouver, along with Mikheyev, sent Sam Lafferty and a second-round pick in the 2027 NHL draft to Chicago. In return, the Canucks received a fourth round pick – 2027. Interestingly, Vancouver will continue to pay Mikheev 15% of his salary as part of the deal. Ilya’s employment contract will be valid for two more years, and his salary is $4.75 million per season.
In the 2023/2024 season, Ilya Mikheev played 78 games in the NHL regular season and scored 31 (11+20) points in the goal+assist system. In the 11th game of the 2024 Stanley Cup, the Russian did not make any effective actions.
