Athletistic / Hockey. The NHL press service has announced the names of six hockey players who are part of the symbolic rookie team for the 2023/2024 season. There is one representative from Russia.
The league recognized Carolina Hurricanes Russian goaltender Pyotr Kochetkov as the NHL’s top rookie goaltender. Kochetkov finished fourth in the race for the Calder Trophy, awarded to the NHL’s top rookie of the season.
NHL All-Rookie Team for the 2023/2024 season:
Goalie: Pyotr Kochetkov (Carolina Hurricanes);
Defenders: Brock Faber (Minnesota Wild) – Luke Hughes (New Jersey Devils);
Attackers: Logan Cooley (Arizona Coyotes), Connor Bedard (Chicago Blackhawks) and Marco Rossi (Minnesota).
Note that Connor Bédard was recognized as the best rookie of the NHL season. It is the Canadian who was selected first overall in the 2023 NHL draft.
