Athletistic / Hockey. Last night was the NHL’s awards ceremony for the best players of the season. One of the most prestigious is the award for the best goaltender of the regular season – the Vezina Trophy.
At the end of the 2023/2024 season, Winnipeg Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck became the owner of the Visa. This is the second time an American has won this award. He got it for the first time in 2020.
Russian goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky of the Florida Panthers and another American, Thatcher Demko, who defends the goal of the Vancouver Canucks, have also applied for the award.
In the NHL regular season last season, Sergei Bobrovsky won 36 victories in 58 matches, kept his goal intact six times, stopped 91.5% of shots and posted a reliability coefficient of 2.37 . But above all, the 35-year-old Russian won the Stanley Cup.
It is worth noting that Bobrovsky has already won the Vezina Trophy twice. This happened in 2013 and 2017, when he played for the Columbus Blue Jackets.
